Matterhorn

**Hazardous Rapid, Portaged at most flows!** This is the only Class V-VI rapid, and it is portaged at most flows. If portaged on river left, you'll have a great view of the rapid, but have to seal launch to get back in. River right would be easier to portage if you have a raft. I have seen this rapid run at flows as low as 300cfs, and as high as 2000+cfs. At 2000cfs there is a line straight over the middle. Otherwise it is run far left against the wall or in the left seam. The right side is very junky and rocky in the landing. At very high flows this supposedly turns into a river wide ledge hole.
