Your first and last name as it will or does appear on your membership card

Use your most common email address, we may need to match accounts or send password reminders to this address

Username is 6-15 characters; only letters, numbers, and dashes; no spaces

Provide a password.

Connect to an AW Membership

This section is optional and for American Whitewater members only. By filling in your membership information here, we can connect your website account to your membership account (even if it has expired). This can be done later, too.


Include your membership number of your journal or id card, if you have one.

This is a departmental address, responsible party, organization name, etc.. (e.g. c/o John Smith or Dept 12)
Street number and address (e.g. 111 Main St)
Enter your zip code, postal code, or 00000 if you don't have one

Website User Vs. Member

 Website User: A free account with the American Whitewater website that allows you to do things like post photos and provide edits to river descriptions. This kind of membership does not financially support American Whitewater's mission.

Member: With this kind of membership you financially support American Whitewater's mission to protect and restore America's whitewater rivers and to enhance opportunities to enjoy them safely. You will also receive the American Whitewater Journal. You can join as a member here.
