Located in Frozen Head State Park, the North Fork of the Flat Fork includes a 0.9 mile hike to the putin, a few logs to dodge, and an ankle-breaking 12ft waterfall that requires a great boof to land. This is the putin. It's also where the trail splits.

Debord Falls

Class - IV Mile - 0.3
This 12ft falls needs lots of water and a great boof. The pool is only a few feet deep.

Parking Lot

Class - II Mile - 0.9
Rapid Thumbnail Missing
This is the last parking lot at the end of the road in Frozen Head State Park. There's a concrete culvert that the creek flows through that you don't want to take your boat through. Make sure you know where the last eddy is located.

Gage Descriptions

The North Fork of the Flat Fork is a run that is boatable after a substantial amount of rain has fallen over the area. Look for the Emory Gauge to be at 50,000cfs or higher. You'll know at the takeout if it is doable or not.
