Located in Frozen Head State Park, the North Fork of the Flat Fork includes a 0.9 mile hike to the putin, a few logs to dodge, and an ankle-breaking 12ft waterfall that requires a great boof to land. This run offers mostly class II-III+ rapids. This short section can be ran when everything else in the area is flooded and too high to run. Look for 4 inches of recent rain.
Frozen Head State Park frowns upon kayaking for some reason. It is uncertain whether their regulations actually mention a prohibition on kayaking, but avoid a confrontation with the rangers. This run probably isn't worth the hassle, but everything is fun once, and when the Emory is at 70k, what else are you gonna do?

This 12ft falls needs lots of water and a great boof. The pool is only a few feet deep.
This is the last parking lot at the end of the road in Frozen Head State Park. There's a concrete culvert that the creek flows through that you don't want to take your boat through. Make sure you know where the last eddy is located.
