Flathead, Middle Fork
1. Schafer Meadows to Bear Creek (Upper Middle Fork of the Flathead)
<p>From the "Three Forks of the Flathead" float guide by the USFS they call this a IV-V! I've only scene this at 7500 but I would call it more like a IV-IV+ at best. Even at high flows it would be hard to call this a V. Either way it is scout-able on river right and really fun. We ran right of center. Spruce has three major rapids with pool in-between.</p>
