2018.06.19: Reports of flooding in this area show US Hwy.2 is washed out at our listed put-in! This will be a major priority to repair. While construction equipment is in operation, it will likely be impossible to get near this launch site.

Additionally, be very aware that flooding is very likely to have two effects: (A) Scouring and eroding many areas of the river, and flushing a lot of wood out of the river, and (B) Dropping much new wood (whole trees!) into the river, and piling them up in random locations.

For anyone attempting to boat this in the near future, exercise extreme vigilance to look well-downstream, to be alert for snags and prepared to avoid them (portages are likely necessary).
