Rogue

This was my first time on the river. I nice class 1 float. The water is very clear for Michigan. It certainly wasn't too low to paddle, but more water would have been nice (but when isn't it?). There are small play waves along the route. It is a beautiful area with little development right up to the river.

Quite day cruise down the lower rogue.

The upper Rouge is all class I and is good for running at almost any level. Below the Rockford dam, the lower is hit and miss but is where you will find class II and some whitewater. anywhere above 180 cfs is good to run the lower. At childsdale there is a washed out dam that creates a nice class II shoot. above 250 cfs some small holes will form.
