Down river about 1 river mile after North Santiam State Park, there is a huge douglas fir tree on river right that extends into the center. Today was 1560 cfs and the upper part of the tree could just barely be floated over. At lower water levels, it is a possible strainer as there are two rock garden moves that may cause beginners some trouble or a raft. This is just as the multiple channels come back to one main channel. 7/12/20
