Kenfield River

Re-entering the river below our portage.

You can hardly see what is actually going on here. Having seen this at low water I would never want anything to do with it, but it is marginally runnable.

See the little piece of wood poking out on river left? That is a log stuck down into what (a low water scout revealed) essentially amounts to a tunnel in the bedrock. Boof and all you have to worry about is the sketchy landing and manky drop downstream. Plug, and just imagine that piece of wood as the stern of your boat.
