Uncompahgre River

Saturday of holiday weekend and we saw no one else on the river. River is very winding with a lot of strainers. Water was low in spots, raft got stuck right after put in but mostly good. Fun run that took us about 3 hours with several long stops. The take out was very rough though- and there's no where really to take out other than the dam at Trout road. The water gets much deeper there and the flow is very strong. There's no good boat access, really just an eroding cliff ledge. Cool run but won't be back due to the take out.
