River Description

From 'Keystone Canoeing' by Ed Gertler:

'Pequea Creek'

Below Martic Forge, the Pequea bends to the right, and the walls of a rock-ribbed, hemlock-lined gorge envelope the stream. At its heart roars an exciting, twisting flume wrought by two narrow, three-foot drops, squeezed very closely together. A bunch of riffles and easy rapid round out this tiny whitewater delight.

Suzy's Hole

Suzy's hole is the only significant rapid at most flows.  It's a 2-part ledge drop that provides some good creeking practice.  It's about half-way from the put-in to take-out, with a warning sign notifying of the rapid ahead.

Tried to run this a year ago, appears to be no public access. Lots of posted signs around the put-in former parking area, and the takeout covered bridge says something like no parking or dropping off/picking up. Maybe the holtwood crew knows more?
