At 145 cfs, the cement ditch upstream (and around the bend) from here is very scrapey. At the immediate approach to this corrugated steel faced jump, it deepens slightly to allow launching a bit of a 'boof'. A minor wave (about even with the upsteam (left in photo) edge of the blue graffiti) would allow minor surfs. The 'optimum' window for this jump is very narrow! With not too much more than 250-300 cfs, the pool increases and this becomes a keepy looking hydraulic!
