Log in to add a reportMost of this paddle is flat or gently moving water as shown in this photo. A relaxing paddle for a longboat or open canoe.
At the confluence of the Hoosic and Hudson is a small rock garden. Can be exciting when the water is pushy. This is the last choppy water of the run.
First section of choppy water happens almost immediately around the first bend after put-in. Riffles to class II depending on level.
Second set of riffles/rapids happen as you approach the cliff ahead. Probably the choppiest section of the River, class I-II depending on water level.
