River Description
Quick Facts:
Location: EastCentral Wisconsin, on the South edge of Plymouth, flowing into the Sheboygan River just upstream of Sheboygan Falls.
Character: Generally flat and flowing water (through farmlands, lowlands, and woods), interspersed quite regularly with shoals, creating very mild swiftwater, riffles, and rips.
Shuttle Length/DriveTime: 8 miles/13 minutes.
Put-in elevation is approximately 800'.
Take-out elevation is approximately 665'.
Thus total elevation change is approximately 135 '.
Drainage area at our listed put-in is approximately 55.8 sq.mi. (as calculated via USGS StreamStats Beta software). By our listed take-out, it has increased to 79.6 square miles (43% increase).
GAUGE NOTICE: The entirety of Sheboygan County has just one USGS gauge, on the Sheboygan River. Flows in this section of the Mullet may be about 1.5 times the 'virtual gauge' for the upper section of this river . You should expect that this virtual gauge will lag both on the rise and fall, and may also not correlate well when rains hit different parts of the watershed disproportionately.
Run Detail
We have no first-hand experience (nor any reports, as yet) about this section. All info presented here is gleaned only from aerial views and topo maps.
The Mullet has much lower gradient through this stretch than in the prior described section. As a result, rather than the fairly continuous riffles, rips, and rapids the prior listed section has, the overwhelming impression on this section will be of a fine pastoral float, occasionally punctuated by shorter areas of riffles and rips.
If you have paddled this section, please help out your fellow boaters with comments (especially if you also have photos or video!) about this run, especially if you can provide any particular highlights or an

Put In
Low bridge?
A private bridge appears to span the river (trail access from a home to property across the river). It is possible/likely that (at least at some flows) this may be a hazard to navigation, requiring either ducking under or (at higher flows) portaging around.
Pleasant View Road
This may be a fine alternate access (if road shoulders are adequate for parking). Just downstream, a small island splits the flow, and it appears there should be a fine shoals, likely providing some swiftwater splash.
Low bridge?
Another private bridge spanning the river. As is very often the case with private bridges, one should expect there to be significantly less clearance than under road and highway bridges. Especially at high flows, you may have to duck or even be prepared to portage!
