Historical photo of Wards Canyon entrance, June 1910. View looking downstream from the right bank at the point where the Klamath River first breaks into swift water at the head of Wards Canyon. This was the original proposed site for Copco 1 Dam; the dam site was subsequently shifted downstream 1000 feet due to geological considerations at this site. Photo taken at approximate USGS River Mile 198.95, approximately 1000 feet upstream from present Copco 1 Dam.
