This was our second of two days through K’íka·c’é·ki Canyon. We were doing some filming and documentation of rapids and moving at a mellow pace that took us about an hour to navigate the canyon. Those who know the rapids and move at a brisk pace could get through in half the time. We had 4 kayaks and a 14' oar boat. Everyone had clean lines and 900 cfs is a great to get out and enjoy this run in the summer when the hot weather and warm water means you only need a sun shirt and maybe a splash top. We encountered a trip from Momentum on the water. They were rafting the canyon, stopping at K’účasčas for lunch and then continuing on in inflatable kayaks through Iron Gate which would make for a great day trip.
