River Description

Put in at Old Gettysburg Pike below the Dam.  There is a Dam above the railroad bridge near Grantham has a narrow, runnable shoot at the middle.  Another Dam near Bowmansdale is best through the middle breach.  There is a four foot unrunnable Dam at Lisburn that must be carried (either side).  Take-out at the PA 144 bridge east of Lisburn.

I paddled a 2 person open canoe today for 7 miles from Messiah College to Lower Allen Park.  ALL the class I rapids and riffles were runable at a level below the recommended minimal flow. There were numerous kayakers also enjoying the creek at this level.
