River Description
The Gypsum to Dotsero section of the Eagle River winds through braided bends, passing through the Duck Ponds Open Space area, and meandering down to confluence with the Colorado River in Dotsero.
The Glenwood Canyon Recreational Trail follows nearby and occasionally adjacent to the Eagle River making a bike shuttle an easy and fun option for this reach.
The winding and braided nature of Gypsum to Dotsero depicts a mellow nature. Look for raptors in the tall Cottonwood adjacent to the river.
High water on the Eagle River comes with the usual heads-up nature of looking out for strainers and sweeper cottonwood trees.
