Winnipesaukee

This is the short, seldom run section below the dam at the lower Winni takeout. The access is on the opposite side of the river from the lower Winni takeout (near the skate park, steep scramble down to the river below the dam.) The dam also partially de-waters this section, so expect slightly lower flows. There are a few class II and III rapids and some surf waves before the gradient runs out around Odell park. Best takeout is near the cul-de-sac by the caretaker’s cottage in the park.

when they eventually remove the dam this will be an amazing takeout! Reunite the Winni River sections, it will be awesome!
