Pleasant Valley Road to Mooney Flat Road is a lower-elevation Sierra foothills creek that is tempermental on flows.
(630 foot elevation range.)

Gradient:
Squirrel Creek has an aggressively steep two-mile section with estimates in the 240~250 feet per mile gradient. Diverse overall gradient in the streambed with sections averaging for a short while at 45 feet per mile and a separate section measuring 104 fpm.

Winter/Spring storm cycles make Squirrel Creek hit the radar.
