I'd maybe consider the level I did at 3.5 the bare minimum. There was some scraping, but it was still mildly entertaining. Since it's not considered class III until higher than 4.5' I'll have to try this again higher. There were 2 memorable rapids at 3.5 ft, one being a left channel about half a mile below Cannady Mill Rd, where the flow goes left then right back to the center after an island. I had to catch an eddy to scout from the boat. It was not too difficult. The other was school bus, which is the most fun of this section. It was straightforward and just some fun larger waves. The current moves very quickly, so it made the flat part go by quickly. Cannady Mill to the takeout only took an hour and 15 minutes.
