River Description
The Middle Elk is an absolutely committing canyon with numerous must-run Class IV-V rapids that contain big holes. An especially memorably one is Corner Pocket. The run offers very high quality whitewater and scenery, though very tricky access at the put-in.
A raw 2017 video of the Upper and Lower by Ben Ghertner offers a good tour of the run at low water, which starts after Leap of Faith falls around 6:30 into the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBbhAdEmGwE.
