A nice trip with mild whitewater, starting in a Forest Service area and then continuing through farms, pastures, and wooded areas. Fairly continuous flow and riffles with a few solid class II rapids. Watch for fences and a low water bridge in the second half of the trip.

Take out at Rt. 94, river left.
Alternatively, continue 3 miles on Cripple Creek to the New River, and then another mile to the Austinville access (river right, downstream side of the bridge).
