Trip Reports
Log in to add a reportRan the river from the park in Alstead after the class 3 section to Walpole. River was 1750 CFS - high, just starting to be in the trees in low spots. Mostly class 2 but with bigger wave trains. The eddy above the gorge was big enough to calmly portage but you DO NOT want to miss the eddy, ever, at any level. Be sharp. The current is pulling strong to the gorge. Put back in below the gorge. Some class 3 right after, followed again by 2. At this high level, there are some class 3 sections before making it to walpole but all have class 2 sneaks.
