Lobster Creek, S.Fk.

Priscilla and I checked out this section on 2024-12-20.  I had set shuttle to do the run a few years before, but bailed because I couldn't bring myself to put my drysuit back on when I knew it was covered in poison oak.  This time around the water was lower, we had just enough to justify the trip, 3.3' on the Elk River flow phone. 4' probably would have been better for a first time run.   No wood portages, but plenty of wood to be careful of.  I biked the shuttle while Priscilla ran the lower section.  There was plenty of time to do both sections of Lobster Creek in a day, having left Port Orford around 8 that morning.

We found the run enjoyable enough to add it to the AW database.  There were some rather scenic parts in the vicinity of the confluence with the NF, and lots of busy sections of whitewater upstream of that.
