A wonderful class II-III+ run with a forgiving and optional waterfall at the put in, along with another optional class IV rapid near the end.
This used to be a developed recreation area, but it has been abandonded and is now gated. Park outside the gate and walk boats in, putting in above or below Pegleg Falls.
Paddlers often park along the road just upstream or downstream of the campground and hike up the embankment from the river.
