By the time we got my truck stuck and unstuck,it had rained enough, just needed to wait for the water to rise! Brad Fiddles Low had messaged on fb he was going to look at Stikeys run. Marc and I decided to go look for ourselves. It was still on the low side. We ran into Brad near the put in, let him know of all the water over in double run drainage. Fortunately double is only a couple hundred yards from my house. We geared up and walked behind my house to the creek! We had timed it perfect it was at peak flow for that day. Double Run enters a beautiful gorge just after it disappears away from the state road. Its about 1 mile long and drops 160 feet on its way to the doah .I'm glad I was able to show Marc and Brad the run! It was at a very pushy level, with few eddys .I'm glad the main gorge was mostly free of wood, and that I knew were I was going! I was reminded of the the run for days, as I would look out the window behind my house, and see three sets of footprints in the snow leading to Double Run!
