Ran this cheap boat adventure Aug. 6, 2020--after tropical storm Isaiah. Burnt Mills gage was approx. 3.8 ft., while Pottersville reading 2.25 ft., about 120 cfs. Put-in below Rt. 512 bridge. Parking there might be trouble when deli and P.O. are both open. (Deli closed, power outage on day we ran this. Might ask permission to park.) Water generally shallow. Starts with quick succession of lively 1+ riffles--less as the trip proceeds. Watch for strainers, at least one bank-to-bank log jam that requires drag thru weeds, wading to open water. Carry 5 ft. dam below Black River Rd. Take out along Rt. 620 above Burnt Mills at pull-out before intersection with Milnor Rd. No parking signs all over Milnor and near Burnt Mills Bridge. Beautiful scenery, challenging for grade, but vaguely not paddler-friendly locale.
