As of spring of 2012 the homeowners at mile marker 21 have installed a fishing dam (river-wide strainer) across the river. Said homeowners are not boater friendly. Recommend portaging around this property if owners are home.

New for 2012 : River-wide strainer 3/4 of the way into the run. It's in the run-out of a right hand bend. There is a house on river right in the bend with a small statue of a fisherman in the yard. No good eddies above the wood but it's a relatively slow moving section of water.

Also, the visual gauge has been removed.

The downstream CFS gauge was showing 300 and it was a low but good level.
