Rio Ojo Caliente

The section from Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs to the confluence of the Rio Chama has as many as 15 fences that span the river. Boaters should use extreme caution as several of the fences have only a few strands and are barely visible. In addition to the fences there is one diversion dam and several sections of the river were very restricted by fallen trees and debris. Contact Hulih20@hotmail.com for more info. Boated at 150 cfs in inflatable kayak and up to 250 cfs in a small raft and cataraft in the section 3. miles from the confluence of the Rio Chama. No fences in this section as of last season.
