“The start of this section is on a seasonal road. If the snow is cleared, you may still be blocked by a government gate located at 43.27429, -74.66443 (about 1.7 miles past the last bridge). Park there and bushwack to the creek, walk up river a quarter mile to catch a major rapid. (As of April 2010 there was a river wide strainer in between the drops of this rapid. HUGE tree trunk, needs a

If the road is not cleared of snow, you can put in at the bridge that crosses this river at the end of the full season Piseco Road, (43.25483, -74.65369) [The seasonal road starts exactly at the bridge. As with many adk seasonal roads, if it's covered with snow, you will most likely get stuck if you drive in. Every dip gets deep snow, snow hides the road edges making it very easy to drop your wheels into the ditches either side, snow hide big potholes. I've seen cars and vans stuck up there multiple times and left there until the spring thaw. Don't be

“From Oregon Bridge to take out at 'broken dam': a bunch of class III fun interspersed with 3 significant IV drops starting with
'Cable Car' (a double drop), then
Triple Drop (a slide funneling into a 4' drop into a keeper hole (boof left) then just downstream a big boof over an 8' falls, then after some great class III slides and ledges to
Broken Dam (run the left side boof)
then take out, climb back up over the drop (river left) and walk up the trail to the secondary road.
