River Description
The upper 3.5 miles is a beautiful, class II section of Glen Creek which runs right alongside Glen Creek Road. Check for wood as you drive along the road. When the creek moves away from the road in the lower 1/2 mile, get ready for some major steep creeking. Nicknamed 'Hells Bells', this 240 fpm section is narrow, twisting, and high velocity. Prior scouting for wood is highly advisible; this is best done by walking up from route 28 on river left to the former bridge site, and walking down from Glen Creek road on river right to the same bridge site.
(Note: the lat/longitude coordinates given are for the gnarlistic last mile.)
