More information from RiverFacts:
'There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Deans Mill to Hudson River section is one of them. If you're coming from
Hudson it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near.
This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Catskill Mountains scenery is wonderful. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. This stretch of Hannacrois Creek is 5.5 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. '
