River Description

The Riparius to the Glen section of the Hudson River is a wide open and mature piece of the Hudson River.

Once you see a small bridge on river right with Mill creek flowing under it be prepared for the Z ledges rapid.

The rapid is entered left of center and followed up with a 'Z' move around pour overs.

In high water avoid the pour over on river right.

After several other rapids you will notice a large rock island in the center of the river. Take the narrower channel on river right to set up for a good surfing wave. Just above the Route 28 bridge is another good surfing wave on river left about 60 yards upstream.

One last rapid remains about a quarter of a mile below the bridge with a sneak route on river left.

Take out is river right with a short walk through the tick infested woods of poison ivy.

Last rapid on the run. Take out is on river right, right afetr the rapid.
At this level there was some rock dodging to do. But plenty of water to run.

This wave is excellent for park and play as long as the water is between 5 and 6.5 feet.
This is a great park and play wave when the level is between 5 and 6 feet.
