NOTE: The gauge listed is downstream, and is affected by power generation dams which are located between this reach and the gauge. However, it is the best reference available.
Fairly straightforward stretch. Start is 2 miles of flatwater, followed by 2 miles of easy whitewater. Take out at Silver Lake Road is under dispute and could be problematic. Most parties continue downstream to Redford or take out at a canoe carry trail upstream of the bridge( see accompanying description).

Log in to add a reportI'm not sure about the legality, but we put-in on the river left side, about 50ft or so downstream of the iron bridge. If you can find a spot to get your skirt on, the mini gorge is a fun way to start this run.
There's a big flat rock above the iron bridge on the river right side that may be a fun seal launch and it would put you at the top of the rapids in the mini gorge. We opted not to do it because it looked like it would be hard to get to.
