It starts small, but the creek grows as more and more water comes in from tributaries.

Most of the river is read and run. There is one bigger drop under one of the bridges. Scout on your way up for strainers.

Esopus creek isn't a reliable guage for Woodland valley because the Esopus flow depends on how much water is being released at the portal. Today, for instance, there was no release at all so even though there was only 6' on the esopus guage Woodland Valley creek looked close to runnable this morning.
