Paddled from Lick Run/Babb Creek to Rattlesnake Rock (Pine Creek) 01-12-12. Launching at the confluence of Lick Run the first 3 - 4 miles held one signature rapid and many undercut ledges. Strainers were as expected, portaging around 10 or more, lost count. The lower section, below Morris, widened out but still offered great waves with the addition of the Stony and Wilson Creek. Strainers turned into sweepers and the pace picked up, taking only half the time to cover the same distance as the upper. The mile freeze down on Pine to Rattlesnake Rock canoe access offered a view of 4 bald eagles. Entire trip top to bottom took around five hours with the local Blockhouse Creek gauge around 190cfs. Great wilderness run !

Ran lower 6 miles (Morris to Blackwell in Spring 2005 at 120 cfs (about 1.9 ft. on BlockHouse Creek gauge). A fun, easy class II run. About 6' to 1' higher might make it a very good run.-- Steve Guthrie
