River Description

Several miles of flatwater precede four main drops with others in between. First is a 5-foot drop that at least long ago had a log that could be boofed left. Then is a 3-foot drop into a couldron surrounded by undercut rocks that we ran right to left. Next up is a six foot boof on the left. Then the big one, a 10-footer that plows into a submerged rock that requires a boof to the right. We really enjoyed this run the one time we paddled it! Neat little creek.

I ran Otter Creek in 1994 with Jared Kurtoff, Amy Brown, and Jonathan Brown when three of us were in high school. We had a really fun day exploring this small creek and felt that it was a great run at the time. The 10-footer was particularly fun and memorable. I can't remember what we knew of the run at the time. While we were pretty young for creek-boaters in the mid-nineties, we were a capable crew of close friends and really enjoyed exploratory days like this one.
