Trip Reports
Log in to add a reportAfter a 150 yards of Class III- IV- rock dodge, you end up at the last drop that is deceiving, but with a nice recovery pool.....
Flipped not too far up from this final drop on the Lamoka section but got the combat roll up and ran the drop clean.
If the Towanda Creek gauge is 8' or higher, then this creek starts to liven up.
This is a long rapid, with plenty to surprise you. Holes, diagonal ledges, trees, and lengthy run. Swimming is not acceptible this time of year.
After finally getting my frozen skirt on, and dodging the rocks and holes, I come to the 'ledgey' section, near the end, trying to avoid the last hole....barely.

This recirculates and he got recirculated. This is as far as his forward progress went and shows him in the process of falling over. Stud manages something like 3 offside combat rolls and finally surfs it around into the outflowing water, back towards the center of the creek. Flips again in the squirrels but rolls once again. Wish I got more pictures of that action.
