Saluda

just got back from here ran from the dam to the power house had a blast and ready to go back learned a lot for my first time in a ww kayak and on this river but had a great guide and friend with me

Is the USGS gauge at Ware Shoals of any use for this stretch of the Saluda? A dam is downstream of the take-out, and this gauge is downstream of the dam. The gauge will be measuring water over the dam plus water running thru the turbines.

Just looking for some description of the river itself in this area.

I am looking for information on where to park when putting in near the dam. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am coming from the Columbia area.

Is there any updated information regarding possible releases through the Pitts Park area?
