You actually should start out at rock spring road. There is at least one other class 2+/3 rapid in this upper section. There are several small class 2 rapids. Further down there is one large rapid but there also is a lot of flat water to paddle through.
This is a great run for those in nashville just hit it when it starts raining or after the rain. There is a gauage that is under the bridge at the alexander bridge crossing.

Ran from just east of the rogana road bridge. Had 3.5 inches over thelast week. Branham mill was runnable but only after the first ledge. Wouldnt do it with much less water but as it wss it was fun.

This was a great river but would have much better with about 4 more inches of water. Ran this on 4/25/2008 and it wasy very low. This would be a good run after a good 2 or 3 day rain.
After long periods of dry weather, Bledsoe Creek is very 'flashy', it rises and falls quickly after heavy rains. In dry conditions you can run it in the first couple of hours after a heavy thunderstorm - 3/4 of an inch in a short time. During wet periods you can run it within 24 hours of a 3/4 to 1 inch rainfall. Check rainfall totals online and look for Gallatin, Bethpage, and Lafayette rainfall totals. If they average at least 3/4 of an inch, it is usually good to go.
