River Description
Popular play run. See Texas Whitewater for more specific beta. Difficulty rating and range of recommend flows are taken from the book. Distances and gradient measured using GIS tools in 2015.
River Features
Put In
U.S. 67 Bridge
Access situation unknown (beta needed)
SH 144 / Elm St Bridge
Access/parking available in the public park at river right on the downstream side of the bridge.
NOTE: Texas Whitewater suggests Big Rock Park as a takeout in order to score one more surf wave, but a new dam built there since the book was written is likely to have eliminated the wave (current beta needed.) The play spots immediately below the SH 144 bridge can all be accessed within the boundaries of the park.

Sometimes you start paddling in the rain, and end up in the sun. I love kayaking.
A great wave to play on, river wide with nice eddy service. Just above the Elm St. bridge in Glen Rose.
Clint grew up on this wave, or at least is growing old on this wave. Great river wide feature, being nicely back surfed.
Stand up in the river, ride home in the ambulance (if your'e lucky)! 'I thought I was gonna drown and all I got was this broken leg'
All day wave, although it won't be there tommorrow.
