Log in to add a reportFloated this today sun June 11th. Floated from roadside pullout about a mile below Upton through the narrows and took out a couple bridges down river. estimate we did 3 or 4 miles. 4 mandatory portages for barbwire fences, down cottonwoods, bridge at our take out with only 5' of air between the concrete and waters surface and the nastiest lowed damn I've ever seen in person. class 2 + for brush choked banks and few eddies at this flow, 293 cfs. keep looking downriver for the next hazard you will be upon it fast. Also locals are friendly but really don't want us on their fields. We managed to get out without confrontation but started our float a bit below Upton as the locals informed us of a few fences right in succession and the land they pay taxes on not being there for us. Apart from this they were still very friendly. Won't likely do again but glad we did.
