Broad Run

The best takeout parking is shown in the attached map. It's just off route 55, to the west of the bridge, but it's on the rock quarry property. We met the man who owns the quarry and he was really cool. He said that he has to deal with lots of trespassers but he is fine with boaters parking here. He just asks that we put a note on the dashboard that says we are kayaking. And of course don't block the gates.

The Goose Creek gauge was at 700 or so and dropping slowly (lots of rain in the last week) and Broad Run was low but still fun. There is a big tree at the entrance of the last rapid.
