2. Quincy-La Porte Road to Milsap Bar (Devils Canyon)

Log in to add an alertAs of April 2, 2024, the Milsap Bar Road is impassable approximately three miles west of the Milsap Bridge. Approximately 40 large trees are down on the road. There is space to park a single car about 0.4 mi west of Indian Creek. It is possible, although arduous, to hike up from the river to this point, with about 1500 ft of elevation gain in the three mile trek. The Feather River Ranger District is aware of the downed trees and does not anticipate they will be removed by USFS staff until middle May 2024 soonest. Please plan accordingly!
Local beta suggests that the road was cleared on April 4th, 2024 by locals with chainsaws. USFS Dist Office has not yet confirmed as of 28 May 2024 that it is open.
