River Description
Ed Evangelidi testifies:
The Little River starts off with a Class 2 approach to a long Class 4 rapid with a complicated route. Get thee in the bushes, probably river left and scout down to the last steep drop of this rapid. Rescue personnel with ropes at least at the bottom of the rapid are strongly recommended. To complicate matters, there are hostile landowners at some of the bridge access points, including the suggested putin.

Trip Reports
Log in to add a reportI parked on the bridge and walked down and scouted the rocks. Does anyone have any pictures of it running?
Three things,
1. 'The Rocks' rapids class rating varies tremendously depending on the water level. At 54cfs a member of our party ran the rapid solo with minimal difficulty in an open canoe. It was scrapey and there were big drops but there really wasn’t any big water until the last ledge, which has a clear chute at this level.
2. After 'The Rocks' there are no significant rapids, so if rapids are all you are after I suggest you choose the first bridge east of 685 as your take-out.
3. There is a cool cave/ledge on river left just downstream of route one
The rating may be a little deceiving for this, It is class 3 until you come to a place the locals call 'The Rocks', class 4+ and real nasty looking Scout first by hiking down from the bridge on river right, you'll know when you come to it, looks as if it's runnable down river right and the nasty stuff can be avoided.
