River Description
The put-in and take-out the furthest extents that the river is runnable. In between are long stretches of low gradient punctuated by a few dams and ledges listed below. Scout from Google Earth and choose an appropriate section.
Richford: Ledge rapid
Sampsonville: Ledge rapid
Enosburg Falls: Dam with rapid after, followed by a ledge rapid. Downstream there appears to be a nice river wide wave.
Sheldon: A large dam with a big rapid downstream. It is kept mostly dry as part of a hydropower project. When it does run two access roads make laps very easy. See this AW River Guide entry and CreekVT's comprehensive and well-illustrated description.
Highgate Center: Highgate Falls—unrunnable dam with rapids below
Swanton: Low head dam with waves below
