Chiwawa

We attempted to paddle this stretch on June 24, 2009. We put in at Riverbend Campground and took out at the Schaefer Lake trail. Schaefer Creek is too far from the road to be a feasible put-in. There were numerous log jams, many without a good place to take out and without a way to portage without going thru thick brush and over fallen trees. In 4 and a half hours, we did about 2 miles. Jim Greenleaf says that his name was attached to this section by mistake.
