Ran this section in a paddle boat memorial day weekend (5/30). We had a good time, but there is plenty of wood in the river. We had to portage a few times and a couple of the logs spanned the entire river at chest height. The flows were around 4,000 to 4,500 cfs at the gauge, which of course is downstream of the confluences with the Carbon and White rivers. The river in this stretch is silty and braided with occasional sand bars for relaxing on.
