Alerts
Log in to add an alertTo respect Karuk ceremonies, do not put in at George Geary River Access on the lower Salmon or, via any access point, float the Ikes Run from September 17–26, 2025. Do not enter or use the Green Riffle, Ishi Pishi, or Ikes Falls river accesses during this time. Green Riffle is always a required take-out—do not float past it and never attempt to run Ishi Pishi Falls. Forest Service closure orders are in effect during ceremonies but do not fully provide the necessary privacy. Please plan accordingly and respect these cultural practices by following the guidelines above in addition to the closure orders (see river description for more info).
